Wednesday, November 13, 6:30pm., IHS Computer Room Photo Gallery of Sounds of the StadiumClick on link to view: Sounds of the Stadium Happy Fall!A Message from the President It's hard to believe that the Marching Band season has come to a close and that preparations are underway for the holiday season and Honors Choir performances. I would like to personally thank all of the parents of our marching senior class for your support throughout your student's tenure in the marching band. Our organization and the department thrive due to your willingness to pitch in and help when needed and through your financial support. We have discovered a new way to sign up volunteers for large fundraisers through the online website SignUp Genius. This has proven to be a successful way to sign up volunteers for the Basketball Concession fundraiser, and we will be utilizing this signup method for the August, 2014 Home Days booths. The Boosters are now focusing on the Holiday Fest and Pasta Dinner fundraisers. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Mary Dolansky, will be sending out email requests for volunteer help for these upcoming activities. Please take the time to look at the upcoming events listing on the November agenda and mark them on your calendar. You will see listed the Honors Choir performance at Perry High School and I invite you all to attend. It is amazing what the students learn in two days of rehearsals to put on this performance. Looking for nine others to join Don & Cathy Krolikowski as a donor group in the stadium initiative. We are looking for nine other donors who are interested in becoming a "Band of Ten", by giving $100 each toward the Stadium Foundation Turf-The-Field endeavor. $100 each from ten significant band boosters in support of the turf field initiative would be an affordable way to help the cause and get permanent recognition as the "Band of Ten" donors. Yes, I would like to show my I-Pride Enrichment is part of the Music Booster's MissionThe ongoing mission of the music boosters is to foster and encourage student development in the musical arts. Throughout the year the music boosters raise money to provide funds used to purchase instruments, equipment and uniforms. Booster volunteers provide hospitality for both the IHS and visiting bands at football halftime, and also assist with set design/construction and costume design/creation for the madrigal and drama productions. The Music Boosters also offer a musical enrichment grant for eligible students.
